KIM COVINGTON-JOHNSON SENIOR PASTOR
Bishop Kim Covington-Johnson has been the Senior Pastor of the Pentecostal Deliverance Church of Christ, Inc since 2011. She is the second pastor in the history of our ministry and is a 2 time Masters Graduate from Iona College. She has degrees in both Teaching and Marriage and Family Therapy.
Pastor Johnson is committed to fulfill the will of God in her life. She received the baptism of the Holy Ghost during her senior year of high school and three years later in the year 1990, she began her journey in the ministry.
Under the pastorate of Pastor Johnson, souls have been filled with the gift of the Holy Ghost, the captive have been set free and miracles have been witnessed. She is respected for her integrity, consistency, her contributions to individuals, families, the community and christiandom at large. Bishop Johnson was duly consecrated a Bishop's in the Lord's church October 7, 2023 at The Greater Highway Deliverance Church. Her spiritual covering is Bishop Liston Page Sr.
She is most proud to be the daughter of our Founder's (the late Reverend Robert and Elder Sylvia Covington), the wife of Deacon Anthony Johnson and mother of her 2 sons, TJ and Kyle.
ANTHONY B. JOHNSON DEACON CHAIRMAN
Deacon Anthony Johnson joined the Pentecostal Deliverance Church of Christ Inc in November of 1999. He is a graduate of Oregon State University and a career professional who stands strong in his support of our Sr. Pastor as she delivers spiritual care and development to the people of God.
He accepted the call to ministry leadership, along with his wife in January 2011. He is a licensed Deacon who serves in various capacities within the ministry. He is also heavily engaged and enjoys working in the community with youth development
Deacon Johnson is most thankful to be engaged in the ministry of family; as the husband of Reverend Kim Johnson and the father of their two sons TJ and Kyle.
SYLVIA COVINGTON ASSISTANT PASTOR
Elder Sylvia Covington, also affectionately called "Shepherd Mother Covington" is the Founding Mother of the Pentecostal Deliverance Church of Christ inc. Shepherd Mother Covington is a graduate of the College of New Rochelle. She is a retired career professional who has dedicated her life to Jesus Christ and serving in the Kingdom of God. Together with her husband, the late Reverend Robert Covington, and their five children established the Pentecostal Deliverance Church of Christ Inc. She has served in a variety of capacities within the ministry, has served the community, families and individuals.
Mother Covington stands strong in supporting the vision of the ministry as well as supporting our Pastor. She is our church advisor and shares a wealth of experience and spiritual knowledge that blesses the office of pastorate.
Elder Covington is most grateful to be the wife of our late Founder and the mother of their five children, Traun, Alison, Orlando, Kim and Darius.
